I was nervous about this session. Whenever I photograph a friend, I get nervous. I don’t know why but I do. I know I am capable. I have gotten to place where I know that I can trust my vision. I know I am good with kids and babies. Maybe with friends I am afraid that my professional side and my personal side won’t mesh. Like maybe I won’t be capable of being a friend and photographing them at the same time. Or maybe I set myself to a higher standard because I know their homes and their kids and there are less unknowns than working with clients. Whatever it is, is silly, I know.
Needless to say, I didn’t need to be nervous. Mom and dad are super sweet and we all go way back (In fact dad was in our wedding!). Their little girl has, quite possibly, the best personality of any child I have ever met. She is hilarious. She had me relaxed and in my groove almost instantly. And little sister? Well, let’s just say that she is absolutely precious and already completely adored.
